What is google forms?
Google forms is one of many google apps where one can gather information from a larger group of people through multiples types of questions. Most times the tool is used in meetings or conferences where the ease and the quickness of the tool is more beneficial, but it is also is a great tool teacher can use for their students to assess them in learned content.
How to make a google form
Just like many other tools within the Google office, making a form is very simple and categorized with other tools such as sheets and docs. Just as you would create a document, you click on the button that says forms and it will bring you to a screen where you can start creating your questions. There are many different types of questions which include: multiple choice, checking boxes, drop down, and short or long free response answers.
Why component 1e and why its important?
Component 1E focuses of designing student assessment and making sure that the assessment that is being used is beneficial to students. Different students are going to be successful in different types of assessment and as a teacher, I need to be aware of all the tools that are available to assess students. Google Forms is a good resources for assessment because it records all the responses from students automatically and all in one area to see how students performed.
Embedded bellow is an example of a simple google form that can be used in a first grade classroom on a science lesson.
