What does it mean?
This component focuses is on showing professionalism as an educator. While a teacher is teaching, they need to be aware of areas of professionalism which include: rules, expectations, standards, building information, etc. The teacher is first a foremost the one who is teaching the students but they also a person that the students can come to and a person that is one of the biggest advocates of a child while they are in their classroom.
This is important because showing professionalism shows that the teacher is genuine and cares about a student within their education and in other areas of life. Teachers are also very involved with the community so presenting themselves professional will give them a good name for future students and families moving into the community.
