what does it mean?
The main purpose for maintaining an organized physical space in a classroom is for both the students and the teacher and that it invites and creates a positive learning environment. There are two different areas in a classroom that need to have a focus on student engagement. The student desks, the teacher desk, and cabinets make up one area where most of the learning occurs. The other area where students can get up out of their desks to a carpeted area where the teacher can engage the students in reading and recalling infromation that has been learned.
This component is very important because the way a classroom is set up can make or break a classroom and if the students are engaged or not. Student desks should be placed towards the main region where teaching occurs so they can stay focused and on task. Students spend a good majority of their day in a classroom so setting up the room in a way that is easily accessible for them will be the best for their moving and learning.

Field Experience:
As a pre-service teacher, it is beneficial to see how co-ops have their classroom arranged and through seeing that, I will be able to create the most successful way to arrange a room.
