What does it mean?
This component is focused on reflecting as an educator. The term reflecting can be applied to many different areas as a teacher. Teachers, first and foremost, should be reflecting on how their lessons went. They should be asking if the students understood the material, what strategies seemed most successful, and other questions along those lines. Another area where reflecting would be important for an educator is reflecting on how interactions with with a specific student or parent.
This component is important because educators should be going to reflect on how a conversation or lesson went to enhance and improve the lesson. Teachers are constantly learning, and reflecting plays a huge role in their development as an educator.

Lesson Plan Reflection: While writing a lesson plan, the teacher could include a few questions at the end of their lesson to go back on a reflect on how they personally thought they did on teaching the material and their reflections on how the students understood the information.
